Company presentation
History
In 1974, a team of three engineers patents the Steriflow® concept. This includes the cascading process (or superheated steaming system), a platular® exchanger from Barriquand Echangeurs and stainless steel for autoclave. A manufacturing shop is built at Barriquand in Roanne, France.
Barriquand Company in fact has manufactured autoclave for the textile industry since 1936. This is a new start for the company in the Food industry. In 1980, the first autoclave for the pharmaceutical industry is produced.
In 1995, Barriquand Steriflow acquires the ATM Carvallo company, which manufactures Hydrostatic towers. Barriquand Steriflow becomes one of the only manufacturers of both batch and continuous systems.
Barriquand group was purchased by SFPI - an industrial group of companies - in 1992, still the owner.
It is registered as a company in 1990, with a capital of 1.5 million Euros.
